Pedestrian Airlifted To Hospital After Being Struck By Motorcycle In Maryland

One victim was airlifted to a Maryland hospital with reported life-threatening injuries, and a second was treated at a children’s hospital after being struck by a motorcycle in Maryland, authorities announced.

In Calvert County, first responders from the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported crash involving pedestrians shortly after 4:20 p.m. on Monday, June 13.

Upon arrival, a department spokesperson said that they located two victims who had been struck by the motorcyclist in the area of the 9200 block of Bay Avenue in North Beach.

One victim was treated by Calvert County paramedics before being flown by a Maryland State Police helicopter to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with “serious injuries.”

The second victim was transported by paramedics to Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have not released the names of either victim or the motorcyclist, who has not been criminally charged.

The incident remains under investigation by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.
